What the CV doesn't show
“The CV is the claim. The network is the evidence.”
| Claim on CV | Without Alibly | With Alibly |
|---|---|---|
| References available on request | A list the candidate gives, late and self-selected. | Independent reference list |
| Built relationships across the sector | A CV claim with no way to verify its shape. | Real network composition |
| 3 years leading the account team at Acme | Dates and titles, from the candidate's own telling. | Timed corroboration |
How it works
i.
Add a candidate
Create an Alibly review in under a minute. The candidate receives an email invitation.
ii.
Candidate authorises
The candidate reviews exactly what is shared, then approves the one-time transfer on LinkedIn through Europe's official data-portability channel - the consent is recorded under the candidate's own LinkedIn account.
iii.
Review the report
Minutes later: a one-screen Hiring decision summary with verdicts on the network's top functions and sectors, then five numbered sections - employment review per role, a deduplicated reference shortlist, role-relevant network (peer vs value-chain coverage), full network analysis, CV alignment. Export, share, ask follow-up questions.
Data is accessed through the candidate's own EU data portability rights. No data is shared without their explicit consent.
THE REPORT
See the network behind the CV
A structured review of a candidate's professional history, relationship patterns, potential references and CV alignment, based on candidate-authorised LinkedIn data.
Read a full sample →Built for teams hiring for trust, network, and context
For the hires that matter
Structured visibility into a candidate's professional network for the hires where it pays to know - sales, recruiting, and any other role where the network matters.
Independent validation
Evidence sourced from the candidate's own LinkedIn data, transferred under explicit consent through Europe's official portability channel. Complements references and interviews, never replaces them.
Candidate-friendly
The candidate sees exactly what's shared and approves the transfer themselves. Consent is recorded, scope is visible, and nothing happens without their signal.

AI assists, humans decide
Models classify data and extract CV positions. Hiring recommendations are never automated.
Common questions
How does Alibly access the candidate's data?
Through LinkedIn's official Digital Markets Act (DMA) data-portability API. The candidate is redirected to LinkedIn, reviews and approves a one-time data transfer on LinkedIn's own platform, and Alibly receives a snapshot of their positions and connection list through the official channel. We never scrape, crawl, or hold ongoing access.
What does the candidate consent to?
Before being redirected, the candidate sees the exact data Alibly will receive (positions, plus connection name, profile link, title, company, and connection date) and what Alibly will never touch (messages, posts, applications, private communications, connection email addresses). They tick consent and understanding boxes, then approve the transfer on LinkedIn. Raw LinkedIn data is processed once and discarded; the report can be deleted on request.
How long does a review take?
From the moment the candidate approves on LinkedIn to the delivered report: typically minutes. Most reviews complete inside the same business hour.
Is Alibly an automated hiring decision tool?
No. Alibly is decision support. Every claim in the report points to a named data source the reader can trace, the hiring team reviews the evidence, and the decision stays with the team. Under the EU AI Act, hiring AI is classified as high-risk; Alibly is built and operated as decision-support, not as an automated decision system.
Is this a background check?
No. Alibly is independent network corroboration - it complements references and interviews, it does not replace background screening.
Does Alibly help spot fake or proxy candidates?
Yes, indirectly. A real career leaves a network trail; profiles built to misrepresent a candidate rarely accumulate one. Each claimed role is classified as strong, partial, or limited corroboration, with any CV-vs-LinkedIn mismatches flagged. Partial or limited classifications, and any flagged mismatches, become specific items to raise with the candidate before extending an offer.
What roles is this for?
Sales, recruiting, account management, business development, client-facing leadership - and any other role where the network matters.
How much does it cost?
